Guild GM.....only in essence....

I have to say that over the last few years playing WoW that the hardest thing I have ever done in the game is being a Guildmaster. I'm currently the GM of one of the oldest existing guilds on the Llane server, Requiem of Decay. That title has changed hands to me and from me more then a few times, but it would seem that lately, because of my lack of presence in game, that I'm only the GM in title.
The great thing about it all is this, and the main reason why the guild runs so smooth, my elected officers. These guys are fantastic at putting out the fires that start amidst the guild members, with other guilds and what not. I honestly wouldn't have it any other way. I know that if I left the game for 3 months time and came back, that the guild would still be trucking along, doing what we do. It really is a great thing to see.
RoD is basically like a big family, we have our internal squabbles, but all in all, it's always put aside in the long run. Everyone gets along great, we have fun with the game and really in the end that's what it's all about.
Really all I want to say is this, Thank You! Thanks to all of you in the guild that make it what it is, a family. Keep up the great work. :)

  2. Might I add:

After 8 years of Everquest, countless guilds, a few more guilds in the early portion of my WoW career...Requiem of Decay has become a family to me. I refer to you guys IRL as "my family" and regardless of what opportunities arise or what happens...I'll stick by this guild until my WoW days are done. ;)

    P.S. I like being a lazy fucker. =oD
